At Progressive Care, we believe every child, young person, and family deserves the chance to feel safe, valued, and supported. For over 25 years, we’ve stood alongside children, young people, and families across the UK, offering safety, support, and a chance to build brighter futures.
Our journey began back in 2000 with a small, five-bed home for teenage mothers and their babies. It wasn’t created from a business plan – it was born from compassion, and from a simple but powerful belief: that no one should be left without the care they deserve. From those first days, we set out to fill the gaps where traditional services fell short, giving vulnerable groups the attention and respect they had too often been denied.
One of our earliest breakthroughs was creating supported living for 16-year-olds leaving care – young people who, at the time, had very few places to turn. We recognised how vital those transitional years are, and we built services that provided stability, understanding, and opportunity when it mattered most. That same commitment to listening, adapting, and leading with care continues to guide us today.
Our History
Progressive Care is part of AMDG Holdings – a family-led group where values run deep. Together with our accredited training provider, Care2Succeed, we not only maintain high-quality homes and services but also invest in the growth of every team member. By ensuring our staff are skilled, supported, and inspired, we create the foundations for the life-changing care we’re proud to deliver.

You have clearly communicated with regards to all incidents, issues or difficulties and this has been very helpful. This has allowed us to know what is happening ‘on the ground’ within the unit and has helped us to draw a picture of Y’s daily lived experience.
Further to this, I wanted to praise the level of relationship building that has taken place within the unit between the staff and X. This required hard work and it was carefully built-up overtime which allowed for positive discussions to take place.
